Preparing
homemade recipes for our dogs from time to time can be a way to take care of
their health and create a closer bond. Take note of the ingredients and steps
to prepare a lip-smacking vegetable and meatloaf for your dog.
INGREDIENTS
For the loaf:
- 500g of minced meat (chicken, turkey, beef or lamb)
- 1 cup of
brown rice
- ½ cup of chicken broth (low sodium)
- 1 beaten
egg
- ½ cup of grated
carrot
- ½ cup of
peas
- 1 tablespoon
of olive oil
For the purée covering:
- Sweet potato, pumpkin, zucchini or spinach purée
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 180o and
baste a mold for the loaf.
- In a frying pan, heat the olive oil and stir-fry
the minced meat until cooked through.
- Add the grated carrot and peas to the pan and
cook them all together.
- Cook the brown rice and mix it with the meat and
the vegetables.
- Pour the mixture into the mold and bake for approximately
20-30 minutes.
- Let it cool and pour over the loaf a fine purée
covering of the chosen vegetable.
STORAGE
You can
store the loaf in the fridge in a hermetic container for 3-4 days. In case you
want to keep it longer, divide it into individual portions and freeze them.

that it is essential to adapt the portions and ingredients according to your
dog’s needs (age, weight, intolerances, allergies, etc.).
